Podcast: Cloud Comms Summit, peers talking to peers

“It’s really about peers talking to peers,” says Matthew Townend, Director, Research and Consulting of the Cavell Group. In this podcast we learn about the upcoming Cloud Comms Summit, which Townend describes as virtually the only vendor neural summit where service providers can meet, network, share and learn from each other in a single event featuring all of the major players. “There’s lots of events for enterprises and channels, but not much for providers… and the fact that we have all of the major vendors there makes it really different.” Joe Marion, Cloud Communication Alliance President, says there are three reasons to attend: “…insight, exposure and knowledge.”  Marion says that participants include, Elka Popova, VP and Senior Fellow, Digital Transformation at Frost & Sullivan, Dominic Black, Senior Analyst, Cavell Group, Diane Myers, Senior Research Director, IHS and Eric Burger, CTO of the FCC. Townend also discusses the networking possibilities, saying that he heard from a previous attendee who said he was able to achieve six months of meetings in a day. In the podcast, we also learn more about the Cavell Group and the Cloud Communications Alliance.
