“Anybody that's sending a text message from an application should be talking to us,” says Tommy Sheahan, Red Oxygen. In this podcast, Tommy updates us on the Campaign Registry and related issues. Red Oxygen is the world's first application to person messaging. They provide billing, compliance, and delivery of text messages from our off-the-shelf components for Outlook, Gmail, and Excel, or integrating into your ISV platform and provide the same billing, compliance, and delivery.
“It is industry regulation. And with the industry regulation requires anybody who's sending an application two-person message to be registered with this governing body. And this governing body needs to know what your EIN is, or if you're a small business, you're doing a DBA, it's your social security number. What is your website? Or it could even be a Facebook page. What is your opt-out policy? You know, some of these small businesses are cities and counties that don't have it. We can give you a copy of an opt-out policy. Who are you texting? Are you texting customers or existing customers? Are you texting employees? Are you texting shareholders? Who are you texting and why? What is the message content, right? And if you have a URL in there, it better not be a micro URL because that's going to get blocked.”
