New Cloud Network Center Aims to Keep Business Networks Up and Running at All Times
ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 13, 2015) - ZyXEL Communications, a leading provider of secure broadband access, connected home and business networking products, today announced its new cloud-based network management platform: Cloud Network Center (CNC). CNC aims to keep business networks running by enabling value-added resellers (VARs) to manage multiple wired or wireless networks remotely through a central cloud platform that is accessible anywhere. ZyXEL's CNC, hosted on Amazon's public cloud, is accessible to VARs anywhere at any time and offers an overview of all registered networks with management functions governing CNC-supported products. With CNC, VARs can quickly configure connected devices, monitor their operation and health status and troubleshoot connectivity problems. Network settings are stored in the cloud and are backed up on a regular basis should the need to replace a network device arise. With settings stored in the cloud, VARs can simply send over an identical model and have clients plug in the new replacement with the one-click restore function, making replacement a zero-touch process. "Traveling from one location to the next to address network issues is costly for businesses and VARs. ZyXEL's Cloud Network Center enables VARs to manage networks from any location, giving them the flexibility to serve their customers right away without wasting valuable resources," said Steven Joe, executive vice president for channel business for Americas at ZyXEL. "Today's business environments require agility and flexibility when accessing their networks, especially during unforeseen downtime. With CNC, VARs can swiftly resolve issues all from a single point of entry into the cloud." The ZyXEL CNC comes with a complimentary one-year license of service for the first purchase, and is available with a flexible license plan that VARs can opt into depending on the scale of their business. CNC-supported products include ZyXEL's new 11ac WAC6500 series access points, NXC wireless controllers, GS2210 and GS1920 series network switches, next-generation USG UTM firewalls and more. Availability ZyXEL's CNC requires a Cloud Network Agent (CNA) device deployed in customer networks for communication between the cloud and local network. ZyXEL's CNA100 is priced at $999 MSRP and will be available in November for purchase through all ZyXEL authorized resellers. More at www.zyxel.us/cnc.
