Independent Telephone Operators, CLEC Will Offer Smart-Premise Services in Southwestern Wisconsin in Late 2012
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, October 1, 2012— Clear2there LLC, a leading provider of advanced video surveillance, smart-home, smart-business, communications, and M2M solutions for service providers and enterprises, announced that it has reached an agreement with the Richland-Grant Telephone Cooperative and the LaValle Telephone Cooperative to provide new smart-home and smart-business service offerings to subscribers in Wisconsin. The new services will also be available to customers of Genuine Telecom, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) owned by the two cooperatives. As part of the agreement, the companies will leverage Clear2there’s Service Provider Solution Platform as the foundation for home and business monitoring and control services including video surveillance, energy management, thermostat control, flood and leak detection, as well as support for a broad range of smart sensors and devices commonly used in residential, agricultural, and business smart-premise deployments. The companies expect to launch the services later this year. “We are committed to providing leading-edge services that deliver the technology and quality of life solutions that our subscribers want and need,” said Bradley W. Welp, general manager for Richland-Grant Telephone Cooperative. “The Clear2there solution offers our residential and business customers attractive service options that enable them to better monitor and manage their home, farm, or place of business through their mobile device or computer. We anticipate a strong demand for these services across the full range of our subscriber base.” Clear2there’s smart-home and smart-business portfolio for service providers incorporates a number of turnkey customer premise bundles, Cloud- and Central Office-based application service platforms, and the award winning Viewbiquity Cloud Application Suite, resulting in customizable service offerings with flexible deployment options that allow providers to increase revenue, enhance customer service and improve profitability. Key advantages of the Clear2there solution that contributed to the selection by the providers included simple installation and maintenance, centralized control for software updates, compliance with industry standards for smart devices, seamless Internet access to monitored data from consumer smart-phones and tablets, and flexibility to maximize resource utilization in the companies’ Central Offices and in the Public Cloud. “Local service providers and CLECs that serve customers in rural areas are seeing significant demand for smart-premise services that allow customers to monitor and manage their properties from any location,” said Craig Steen, president and chief executive officer of Clear2there. “With these new solutions, Richland-Grant Telephone Cooperative, LaValle Telephone Cooperative, and Genuine Telecom can deliver safety, security, and convenience to a wide range of businesses and consumers. We look forward to working with each provider as they deploy these compelling services in the coming months.” More at
