Wavecrest joins Cloud Communications Alliance to support industry success
Wavecrest, the global managed voice and messaging services company, today announced that it has joined the Cloud Communications Alliance (CCA), the world’s premier peer association dedicated to the growth of the cloud communications industry.
Through its membership of the CCA, Wavecrest will help foster closer collaboration and understanding between cloud communications players and traditional telecoms operators around the world, and ultimately play its part in helping to drive the success of the sector. Wavecrest’s membership of the CCA was officially announced at the CCA Financial Summit in New York City on 1st-2nd October.
Andrew Bale, Wavecrest’s CEO, said: “At Wavecrest we talk a lot about the need to bridge the gap between the tech and telco parts of our industry, which have shared goals but come from different backgrounds. Joining the CCA is a step forward for us in pursuing that goal and encouraging broader industry innovation. The work of the CCA has been enormously important in bringing key players together to discuss the issues shaping what we do, and we’re looking forward to playing an engaged and active role in it.”
Joe Marion, President of the CCA, said: “The CCA is proud to have Wavecrest join our community. The Wavecrest team bring decades of experience and an important perspective to the industry conversation. We’re excited to have their contribution and know it will benefit our members moving forward.”
The announcement follows Wavecrest joining another influential industry body, the i3Forum’s One Consortium, earlier this year. One Consortium is a new not-for-profit organisation designed to restore trust in international communications, through dialogue between operators, vendors, regulators and other stakeholders.
Both the CCA and One Consortium memberships align with Wavecrest’s strategy of bringing together telecoms operators and cloud communications providers, and creating a global voice market that functions with greater trust and transparency.
