First in Malaysia to Receive the Recognition
Hong Kong - September 19, 2024 - VTech Communications Limited, the number one electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider in Hong Kong, today announced that its manufacturing facility in Malaysia, VTech Communications (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., has been granted SA8000:2014 certification for Social Accountability.
The SA8000 Standard is the world’s leading social certification standard for factories and organizations. It recognizes best practices of socially responsible workplaces of all types in ensuring a fair and equitable working environment and transparent business dealings.
The certification was awarded by British Standards Institution on 24 July 2024. VTech Communications (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is the first and only organization in Malaysia to receive the SA8000 certification.
