Dana Point, CA - June 20, 2012 - SimpleSignal, Inc., the leading cloud-based Unified Communications and Collaboration provider for business, today announced an unlimited vacation policy for all full time employees beginning July 1. The Company will abandon its HR tracking of allotted vacation time and immediately institute an open policy of allowing employees time off for vacation, handling personal business and holidays. SimpleSignal guidelines will encourage employees to make sure they are covered by appropriate replacements and that their work teams have adequate notice. “SimpleSignal is a culture based more on performance than input,” said Dave Gilbert, SimpleSignal’s Founder/CEO. “We’re really excited to launch this new policy to our hard-working employees. They are the reason for our growing success and we want to continue to make this a stimulating, progressive workplace for the best and the brightest in our industry.” Inspired by progressive growing companies like #Evernote and #Hubspot, SimpleSignal’s policy is not new, but it places SimpleSignal in a group of less than #2% of all U.S. companies with such policies according to a 2011 survey by the Society for Human Resource Professionals that includes such companies as Best Buy, Gap and #Netflix. “Contrary to what some might believe, this is not a ploy for guilting our employees into not taking vacation time, in fear of peer pressure or managers that don’t agree with our policy,” continued Gilbert. “Nor are we concerned with our employees abusing the open policy. We believe our employees to be responsible adults, and want to encourage the freedom that comes from a healthy work-life balance and will encourage them to take vacation time.” More at
