Texas Department of Information Resources Awards New Contract to DoubleHorn

AUSTIN, TX – November 20, 2017 — The Texas Department of Information Resources
(DIR) has awarded a new contract with DoubleHorn an Austin-based cloud solutions provider and services broker. This is the second consecutive DIR contract to be awarded to DoubleHorn and covers two years with two, one-year renewal options. The contract allows DoubleHorn to continue providing cloud services brokerage for providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Rackspace, Google Cloud, and others. “We are excited to continue our partnership with DIR with this new contract,” said Tab Schadt, CEO of DoubleHorn. “Providing our state and local government customers with the highest level of service is a pillar of our business and we look forward to continuing to serve and expand this sector.” The contract allows any public entity at the state or local level to purchase services directly from DoubleHorn, who offers a discount off MSRP which increases based on volume. Customers gain access to broker partners including AWS, Rackspace, Google, Azure and IBM. DoubleHorn currently serves public sector customers such as
Travis County, Edwards Aquifer Authority, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). DoubleHorn offers simplified and consolidated billing, making it easier to understand exactly how much customers spend on cloud.
