Ronda Sandquist and Julia Rhine Listed Among DBJ’s 2019 “Who’s Who in Energy”

December 6, 2019 - The Denver Business Journal included two Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck attorneys on its 2019 list of “Who’s Who in Energy.” Ronda Sandquist and  Julia Rhine were among the individuals profiled for their influence in the energy industry. Now in its ninth year, the  Denver Business Journal makes its selections for Who’s Who in Energy based on industry outreach, research and nominations in sectors ranging from accounting and finance to law and education. Sandquist serves as a strategic advisor for clients on environmental, regulatory and legislative approaches for major projects and legal compliance. She represents a wide range of energy sector companies, including mining, oil and gas and renewable sources. Sandquist counsels owners and developers of major projects on environmental and natural resource permitting and regulatory compliance, which often require review under the National Environment Policy Act (NEPA). In addition to NEPA reviews, she guides clients through the issuance of the necessary permits for construction and operation of projects, including permits for water, water quality, wetlands, endangered species, air quality and storage and use of hazardous materials. Rhine focuses her practice on cases involving state and local government regulatory energy frameworks, NEPA, the Endangered Species Act, the Federal Land Policy and Management Act and other matters subject to review under the Administrative Procedure Act or other procedural statutes. She has advised clients on a range of natural resources matters involving sensitive or contentious stakeholder issues. She also routinely advises energy firms and investors on issues affecting the oil and gas industry in Colorado, including impacts from litigation, potential statewide ballot and legislative measures, state and local regulations, and the potential impacts of state and local political elections. The full Who’s Who in Energy list can be found in the  DBJ’s Nov. 22 edition. Sandquist and Rhine were recognized at a reception at Denver’s Brown Palace Hotel on Dec. 5.
