Rev.io Announces Technology Department Reorganization

Responsibility splits will create additional team capacity and expertise in specialized areas, supporting roadmap velocity and focus for data and infrastructure projects Atlanta, Georgia - November 29, 2021 - Rev.io has announced a reorganization of its Technology department into two specialized areas. These areas will be led by members of Rev.io’s Senior Leadership team. Scott Trefz, formerly SVP of Technology, has been named Chief Technology Officer at Rev.io. In this new role, Trefz will lead all software development and architecture projects at the company. He brings over 25 years of experience in software development and technical leadership to this role, the bulk of which he spent as Founder and CEO of Precision Telecom Technologies, a telecommunications billing and back office software provider  acquired by Rev.io earlier this year. James Phillips has been named Chief Information Officer, and will lead teams focused on the areas of infrastructure, data engineering, quality assurance, and data analytics.  Phillips has been with Rev.io since January 2021, and will leverage his more than 20 years of experience in tech stack modernization, DevOps implementation, and analytics to support his team. “Rev.io is on a journey to continually modernize our platform and offer superior service to our clients,” said Brent Maropis, CEO at Rev.io. “We have one of the deepest technology teams in the industry, and can uniquely benefit from having two leaders with such experience in their areas of focus. By specializing our technology organization into these different segments, we anticipate acceleration in roadmap velocity, seamless data management, and the ability to build and maintain world-class software at scale. “I’m honored to earn this new opportunity as CTO at Rev.io,” said Trefz. “To lead this incredibly deep and talented team of software engineers and architects is exciting. We all look forward to continually evolving our product and platform to help our clients grow their revenue efficiently.” “This change to Rev.io’s Technology organization is going to pay major dividends for our clients,” said Phillips. “I’m excited to lead a focused team that will fully modernize our infrastructure, allowing Rev.io to support international billing at endless scale, and I look forward to working day-to-day with a development leader like Scott.” About Rev.io Rev.io provides sophisticated billing-as-a-service (BaaS) to communications companies, IoT companies, and technology service providers.
