Q Advisors Represents STARFACE Group, a Maxburg Portfolio Company, in its Acquisition by Gamma Communications

With all required conditions met, the transaction is complete and represents a critical milestone in Gamma's growth in the German cloud communications market.

LONDON, UK - February 20, 2025 - Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading provider of technology-enabled communications services across Europe, is pleased to confirm that regulatory approval for the acquisition of STARFACE Group GmbH has now been received.

With all required conditions met, the transaction is complete and represents a critical milestone in Gamma's growth in the German cloud communications market. This acquisition strengthens our position as market leader and brings our total number of cloud seats in Germany to over 500,000.

This acquisition consolidates Gamma's position as a leading challenger to the established telecommunications providers in Germany and enables small and medium-sized companies to benefit from the innovative communications solutions of STARFACE's robust partner network.

Andrew Belshaw, CEO of Gamma, commented:
“We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of STARFACE. This marks the start of an exciting new chapter that will enable us to accelerate the adoption of cloud technologies and innovation in the DACH region. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues, partners and customers to drive the future of cloud communications in Europe.”

Further updates will follow as Gamma and STARFACE work together to further enhance their combined offering and continue to deliver best-in-class cloud communications solutions in Europe.

Up until closing, STARFACE Group was a portfolio company of Maxburg Capital Partners, a leading private equity fund focusing on founder-led technology companies in the German speaking region.

Q Advisors, a global TMT investment banking boutique, acted as exclusive financial advisor to STARFACE and its stockholders in connection with this transaction.

"Q Advisors earned our trust after our initial successful transaction with Maxburg so when it came to choosing an advisor again to assist with our exit they were at the top of the list. We are pleased with the outcome and excited to work with Gamma to capture a significant share of the German cloud market. The Q team in Munich and Denver helped us navigate this cross border deal and kept all stakeholders interest top of mind.” - Florian Buzin, CEO & Founder, STARFACE
