MINNEAPOLIS, MN – August 2, 2016 - Today, Onvoy, LLC, a fast-growing leader in Communications Enablement, announced the finalized acquisition of ANZ Communications, LLC, the parent company of ANPI, following regulatory approval. With this acquisition, Onvoy continues to build its nationwide network reach and functionality to provide comprehensive enablement solutions to the marketplace. From the start, ANPI has served as a partner to rural local exchange carriers (RLECs), originally building the ANPI business based on a need for RLECs to offer affordable long distance service to their customer base. As time progressed, the RLECs worked with ANPI to expand the solution portfolio to include enablement services which helped carriers to lower cost, deliver excellent service experience, and innovate new products for top line revenue growth. The RLEC partnership, enablement solutions (e.g., Long Distance, Tandem, SS7, Voice Peering, and UCaaS/End Office replacement), and expanded network reach strategically fit with Onvoy, thus driving the acquisition. Onvoy is pleased that the former shareholders of ANPI have chosen to roll forward some of their investment into the combined companies. The Onvoy network-based communication enablement platform provides carriers an opportunity to expand their respective customer service expertise and network reach outside their traditional markets, while creating new innovative services and lower operating costs. Onvoy will continue to partner with the RLECs and offer the solutions to support their respective business objectives. “Onvoy was founded by RLECs with a mission and vision similar to the founders of ANPI, so we understand and appreciate our relationship with the RLEC carriers,” said Fritz Hendricks, Onvoy CEO. “We are committed to continuing and expanding upon the innovative partnership envisioned. The RLECs have demonstrated resiliency through challenging times and we believe their commitment to excellent customer service provides an accelerant to the transformational opportunities enabled by the combined Onvoy and ANPI platforms.” “Our combined assets, from our customers to our employees, make for an exciting future as Onvoy drives toward becoming the premier communications enabler in the market,” said Bruce Hicks, ANZ Communications, LLC Board chair. Q Advisors, a leading global TMT investment banking boutique, acted as exclusive financial advisor to ANZ in connection with the transaction.
