Q Advisors Announces Addition of Three New Partners and Additional Promotions

Q Advisors, a global TMT investment bank, is pleased to announce the addition of three new partners – Jordan Rupar, Kristian MacCarter and Brian Kornmann. Jordan and Kristian have been promoted to Partner from their previous roles as Managing Directors while Brian Kornmann joins Q Advisors as an Operating Partner after 15 years at St. Louis based Private Equity firm, Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP) as a Managing Director.

Kristian will continue to lead European operations from the firm’s Munich office while both Jordan and Brian will be based in Denver, Colorado focusing on the firm’s telecom and managed services practices.

In addition, the firm is pleased to announce the promotion of Alexander Moore to Vice President, Chris Pibl and Eli Winegardner to Senior Associates, and Maximilian Sträußl to Associate.

Jordan Rupar, Partner

Since joining Q Advisors in 2012, Jordan has consistently demonstrated a keen strategic vision and an ability to drive results for our TMT clients. She has executed numerous mergers and acquisition transactions and equity and debt financings, for clients across the TMT spaces with a deep focus on Cloud Communications and Managed IT & Cloud Services.  

Kristian MacCarter, Partner

Kristian MacCarter rejoined the firm in 2020 to lead European expansion as the sole Managing Director in Q Advisor’s Munich office. He has led various M&A transactions, debt and equity placements, recapitalizations, and strategic principal investments/acquisitions primarily in the TMT sector, with a focus on Managed IT & Cloud Services and Cloud Communications. Kristian's forward-thinking approach and ability to navigate complex transactions has made him an invaluable member of our leadership team.

Brian Kornmann, Operating Partner

Brian Kornmann joins Q Advisors as an Operating Partner in our TMT practice and will have significant responsibly for growing the firm’s global Private Equity relationships as well as sourcing founder-led transactions. Brian’s past work as Managing Director at TSCP involved implementing and overseeing financial control and operational procedures across all portfolio companies and working directly to source and close platform and add-on acquisitions, including the acquisition, add-ons and subsequent recapitalization of BCM One, a large provider of managed communication services to over 30,000 clients across the world.
