Nortel Compatible 1000Base-SX SFP Transceiver For Multi-Mode Fiber

giJuly 3, 2012 - Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics is offering its Nortel compatible 1000Base-SX SFP transceiver which is designed for multi-mode fiber. It is an ideal tool for both telecommunication and data communication applications such as 10 Gigabit per second SONET/SDH, Fiber Channel, gigabit Ethernet, 10 gigabit Ethernet and other applications such as DWDM links or MMF applications.
This hot-pluggable Nortel compatible fiber optical transceiver, model C01HP101, provides standard AC coupled CML for high speed signal and LVTTL control and monitoring of signals. This small form factor optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter section uses an 850 nm VCSEL laser, and the receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. This 1000Base-SX transceiver features physical network connectivity to media converters, distance extenders, cross-connections, Ethernet switches and routing equipment. It operates at a wavelength of 850 nm and provides a maximum transmission distance of up to 550 m with MMF. It has digital diagnostic functions and features low power dissipation of less than 600 mW. In addition, the transceiver is compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Specification and SFF-8472. This Nortel compatible 1000Base-SX transceiver belongs to GAO’s family of Nortel Compatible Transceivers. The family provides a full range of transceivers such as Nortel Compatible 1000Base-T GBIC Copper Transceiver which is fully compatible with original Nortel transceivers and provides a quick and reliable interface for Gigabit Ethernet applications and Nortel Compatible 1000Base-SX GBIC Optical Transceiver which is compliant with GBIC interface converters specification Rev. 5.5 as well as Gigabit Ethernet standard as specified in IEEE 802.3z . GAO’s compatible transceivers offer a cost effective solution for use in data centers, metropolitan area access and ring networks. This portfolio has a rich set of choices in terms of speeds, protocols, reaches and accepted transmission media.
