News Future in hyper connected society

Speakup strengthens its position as a supplier of communication solutions by introducing a completely renewed core network. Under the title 'Het af lever', Speakup and its guests celebrated the Partner & Jubilee event on Thursday 20 September. Where she heralded her 15th anniversary with the announcement of a new and ambitious course. And that she wants to realize together with the partners and suppliers involved.

The vision of Speakup

"We see that the way in which people communicate with each other in the future will change dramatically.", Says Florian Overkamp, owner of Speakup. "But we also see that the essence ultimately remains the same: the need to remain in contact with each other freely in a hyper-connected world." In order to realize this for the users of our products, our technical specialists have developed a solid foundation, we can offer new communication solutions of a high technological level easier and faster. " "In a mature VoIP market, the challenge is to find the distinctive character. As the early adopter of then, we also want to be a forerunner in the current dynamic (communication) market. Our customers expect us to have the most up-to-date technological solutions that match their needs. "Explains Florian. "From our technological DNA, our mindset is focused on technology and the right solutions to make companies work more efficiently, easier and faster," he concludes. "This also means that we are shifting from a telecommunication provider to a service provider - for example through a greater emphasis on making integration possibilities available."

Stepping forward together

The mission of Speakup during the event was to let partners taste the hyper connected future. A future that connects and integrates the possibilities of separate IT systems, that better fits the needs of customers and in which we can continue to communicate safely and freely. Speakup wants to take the chances of this hyper connected world together with customers and partners. "We want to free ourselves from the straitjacket that the tech giants impose on us.", Is the statement made by Rick Sulman, CEO of Speakup. "That is why we at Speakup look further than today. Ultimately, everyone can use our solution to work safely with Speakup as a Service (SaaS) applications. We start from the idea that you as a user want to keep control. ", Continues Rick. "There is now a nice basis and together with the partners involved we will take steps forward," he continues. "

Handles for the future

Speakup takes a big step towards the future with the realization of a completely renewed core network and the  Speakhub  . During the event a knowledge base for partners with the name SIA was introduced. In addition, five concrete innovations for the future were lined up. Various product demonstrations were part of the day and partners were immediately given their hands to the future. From October, involved partners will have access to the first new applications and will be actively involved in future developments. From January 2019 partners and customers can purchase the first new applications such as Speakup App as Speakup CTI.

Software defined networks

In order to exploit all the opportunities that new technological developments offer, Speakup has taken over its network design and has introduced a new core network, in which an even better segmentation and for example the deployment of virtual networks is possible. This offers advantages in the form of stricter security, higher up-time, better scalability and a reduction in the management burden. The first steps for the renewal of the Speakup network were made in mid-2017 by drawing up a new network architecture and by making a substantial investment. The first two phases of the ambitious plan have now been realized. They provide new opportunities; the launch of new products and services!

It is Cloud that hits the clock

How do you control the accessibility of applications? How do you monitor the safety of personal and business data in a SaaS driven world? For every business issue, an application can now be found in the Cloud. It is about how these applications work together in a way that privacy and security are guaranteed, in a world where user convenience and security can be at odds with each other. Where you are aware of the personal and business risks. These were the questions that were central to the development of the Speak hub. The customer remains "in-control" about the information that is shared with applications, that is our starting point. In addition, the most sensitive information (such as passwords) should never be in the hands of third parties. In addition to protecting the individual, it is also important to arrange access in a larger context within an organization. The Speakhub is therefore the foundation for us to unlock APIs so that not only we but our partners can develop more applications on top of the services we already offer today.
