More than 250 Herrerías homes are already connected to high-speed Internet

  • Adamo deploys its network both in Bielva and Rábago and will also reach the rest of the towns of the municipality between June and July: Cabanzón, Casamaría, Cades, Camijanes and Puente El Arrudo, which only has 10 inhabitants.
  • The operator, which installs the fastest fiber optics on the market (1,000 MB), exceeds the 60 million invested in Cantabria, beyond the 40 expected in 2017.
  • To the 155,000 homes that it already maintains with service in the region, the company will add another 47,000 to exceed the 200,000 homes with connection in 2022.
Herrerías - May 31, 2021 - Herrerías already has high-speed Internet access. Specifically,  Adamo currently provides service in 255 homes in Bielva and Rábago. But these will not be the only towns in the municipality where the operator will deploy the fastest fiber optic available in the market (1,000 Mbps), since all of them will be covered by the company's infrastructure between June and July. Populations with fewer inhabitants, including Thus, in its philosophy of leaving no one behind, the company will add nuclei with a handful of residents to its expansion. As a consequence, the Adamo connection will reach Cabanzón (136 neighbors), Camijanes (111), Cades (83), Casamaría (69) and even Puente El Arrudo, which only has 10 residents. For their part, Bielva and Rábago reach 237 and 54 inhabitants respectively. In total, Herrerías has 700 inhabitants. Support from the Herrerías Town Council The actions already carried out and the development plan for the following months were recently presented by David Llano, head of Adamo in Cantabria, to the mayor of the municipality, Juan Francisco Linares. The councilor closely follows the progress of the work and stays in contact with Adamo technicians while they deploy fiber optics in Herrerías. More than 60 million for Cantabria This new step is part of the large investment made by the company in the region. In fact, it is the autonomous community in which it has developed the most considering the proportion per inhabitants. This bet means that Adamo has dedicated more than 60 million euros to the installation of the network in Cantabria, having comfortably exceeded the 40 million budgeted four years ago. More than 155,000 connected homes The operations in Herrerías represent the latest sign of the commitment made by the company to provide high-speed Internet connection to the towns in the area. It should be remembered that the Adamo network supplies fiber optics to more than 155,000 homes in Cantabria. In fact, this growth rate is hardly influenced by the emergence of COVID-19: the operator installs its infrastructure in 5,000 new homes per month in Cantabria despite the pandemic. More than 200,000 households by the end of 2022 Likewise, the company's forecast is to serve 47,000 more Cantabrian families in the next two years. Added to the 155,000 it already has in its portfolio, there will be more than 200,000 households connected by Adamo. Adamo Fiber Optic Advantages Current times - marked by the coronavirus - require telecommunications operators to be able to meet the enormous demand that exists for a quality Internet connection. For this, as already mentioned, Adamo offers the fastest fiber optic on the market (1,000 Mbps), which translates into being able to telecommute with a stable connection, maintain videoconferences without interruptions, and be closer to family and friends who live far away. , having the possibility of accessing education remotely, making medical appointments remotely or watching series or enjoying  online video games  , among other options. An expansion plan of 250 million The company continues to support connectivity in rural areas. Their commitment is clear: to bring fiber to all corners of Cantabria, also to the historically forgotten ones. This is thanks to a plan of 250 million, the results of which are 10,000 kilometers of its own network and already providing service in 700 municipalities. Adamo Fiberhood In order precisely to provide high-speed Internet to the most remote areas, the company has an innovative tool:  Adamo Fiberhood . Through it, only with the joint request of 30 neighbors through a simple website, it is enough for the company to deploy fiber optics in their municipality. Each town has its own group: In the case of Herrerías:  https://adamo.es/es/fiberhood/fibra-herrerias ABOUT ADAMO Adamo, based in Barcelona, is an operator with a national vocation, but with a regional and local business focus. Present in the Spanish market since 2007, the company gives priority to rural areas and new urban areas with a high population density, providing the fastest optical fiber on the market (1,000 Mbps). EQT Partners, Adamo's investment fund and majority shareholder, supports its current expansion plan, boosted at the beginning of 2020 with 250 million. Likewise, Adamo is the main winner of the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA-NGA 2020-2022), funded by the State and the EU, having received 80 million in grants to bring high-speed Internet to nearly 500,000 homes located in rural areas of 20 provinces. Thanks to having its own infrastructure, in addition to the Internet, Adamo provides fixed and mobile telephony customers, as well as services for the business and wholesale market.
