  • Adamo will continue to deploy the fastest optical fiber on the market today (1,000 Mbps) in this town located in A Mariña throughout 2021.
  • The company provides signal to 50,000 homes in Lugo, among other towns, in Begonte, Cervo, A Fonsagrada, Celeiro, Barreiros or Foz.
  • The operator will add another 26,500 homes in the province to its network in the next two years to exceed the 76,000 connected properties.
Xove - April 19, 2021 - More than 1,000 Xove homes already have a high-speed Internet connection provided by  Adamo . But there will be more, since the company will continue during this year to expand its own optical fiber - the fastest that exists today in the market (1,000 Mbps) - in the council. This is located in A Mariña, an area for which the company is betting especially. Support from the Xove City Council Adamo counts for this deployment with the collaboration of the local authorities and, in particular, the mayor, Demetrio Salgueiro. This was evident in the presentation of the service provided by the telecommunications operator made by David Llano, head of Adamo in Galicia, to the municipal representatives. More than 50,000 connected homes in Lugo In this way, the operator continues with its development in Lugo, a province in which it already supplies signal to 50,000 homes. Among other councils, in Begonte, Cervo, A Fonsagrada, Barreiros or Foz, as well as in the parish of Celeiro. Other 76,500 addresses in Lug o This step in Xove is part of the company's firm commitment to this Galician region, in which it will install high-speed Internet for 26,530 properties throughout 2021 and 2022. Added to the current 50,000, Adamo will reach a total that exceeds the 76,500 homes in its Lugo network over the next two years. About 6 million in PEBA aid for Lugo This growth is supported, on the one hand, by grants from  the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, which is co-financed by the European Union (EU). Altogether, Adamo was awarded 80 million euros to provide fiber optics to nearly 500,000 homes located in 20 provinces. Of that budget, more than 5.8 million will be allocated to the installation of this infrastructure in Lugo to facilitate, thus, the communication of the aforementioned 26,530 homes. On the other hand, this expansion is also possible thanks to the investments of Adamo, which will add its own capital for the deployment of high-speed Internet. The coronavirus does not stop the expansion of Adamo In this sense, given the current situation, it should be noted that the company's growth rate is hardly influenced by the emergence of COVID-19: the operator brings fiber optics to 25,000 new homes per month in Spain despite the pandemic. Adamo Fiber Optic Advantages Current times - marked by this health emergency - require telecommunications companies to be able to meet the enormous demand that exists for a quality Internet connection. For this, as already mentioned, Adamo offers the fastest fiber optic on the market (1,000 Mbps), which translates into being able to telecommute with a stable connection, maintain videoconferences without interruptions, and be closer to family and friends who live far away. , make remote medical appointments, buy online, have the possibility to access education remotely or watch series or enjoy  online video games  , among other options. Adamo collaborates in establishing population in rural areas In addition, the operator supports the development and stabilization of the rural population, thus favoring the competitiveness of those areas that have been losing inhabitants to make them an attractive option to live. In the present circumstances it is imperative not to leave anyone behind. Both those who already reside in villages, towns and small cities and those who, due to the scenario lit by the coronavirus, choose to move to a smaller municipality. ABOUT ADAMO: Adamo, based in Barcelona, is an operator with a national vocation, but with a regional and local business focus. Present in the Spanish market since 2007, the company gives priority to rural areas and new urban areas with a high population density, providing the fastest optical fiber on the market (1,000 Mbps). EQT Partners, Adamo's investment fund and majority shareholder, supports its current expansion plan, boosted at the beginning of 2020 with 250 million euros.
