Mitel and Morse Help Aston Hotels & Resorts Optimize Business Communications Services With Cloud-Based Solution

Begin Roll Out of Streamlined Communications for Guests at Prime Properties on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu OTTAWA, June 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel ® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a global provider of business communications solutions, and its partner Morse Communicationshave deployed a highly agile cloud-based solution for Aston Hotels & Resorts. Aston, a leading hospitality company in Hawaii, has already installed the cloud communications solutions at two of its prime properties, Aston at the Waikiki Banyan and Aston Waikiki Sunset. "Cloud communications allows us to routinely add beneficial new features as they become available without needing to upgrade our entire system. This allows us to offer guests the best communications solutions available," said Matt Bailey, president and chief operating officer, Aston Hotels & Resorts. "Through a rigorous review of the available cloud options, we found the Mitel solution from Morse Communications provided the features and level of support we required. We are already seeing positive results from the new communications system." Aston has 27 properties across Hawaii, in California, Florida, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Starting with the first two properties in Honolulu, Aston plans to roll out the Morse Communications Mitel solution to all its sites bringing them onto a single platform. In addition to upgrading communications services for each location, the cloud solution will allow Aston to dial across its network for an easier way to connect each site while also avoiding toll fees. "With properties often spread across vast geographical areas, cloud communications allows hospitality companies to bring all locations onto a single platform to centrally manage and optimize services. In fact, we are seeing growing interest in cloud communications from the hospitality industry. Aston Hotels & Resorts is a great example of how a hotel company can optimize communications and move toward a centralized solution that ultimately improves services for guests," said Jim Davies, Mitel's vice president of vertical initiatives. Morse Communications provides the hosted cloud communications service for Aston. Powered by Mitel, Morse is able to provide flexible services with full redundancy for business continuity to keep the hotels up and connected at all times. Morse regularly updates the service with new Mitel features as they become available. This provides Aston with the most current communications solution at all times. Further, it reduces the need for maintenance, allowing Aston to focus on guest services. "Cloud communications is helping hospitality companies, such as Aston Hotels & Resorts, stay connected and collaborate more closely than ever before. Morse Communications is enabling this with a hosted solution that greatly simplifies how hospitality companies manage and deliver communications services," said Mike Costello, principal, Morse Communications.
