Intermedia Supports Office in the Cloud Including Hosted Exchange on New Motorola Droid 4
Intermedia, a global leader in cloud services and the world's largest
Microsoft Exchange hosting provider, today announced that its
hosted Exchange service is available on Motorola's newly launched Droid 4 smartphone. Using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Intermedia is able to configure the new Motorola Droid -- as well as other popular brands such as the HTC EVO, Samsung Galaxy, and the iPhone -- so users can take advantage of the same enterprise-grade Exchange services they are used to in the office. Those capabilities include email, calendars, tasks and instant messaging. According to Motorola, the Droid 4 is "the thinnest and most powerful 4G QWERTY smartphone measuring at less than half an inch thin." Intermedia also fully supports BlackBerry
® Wireless Solution hosting for hosted Exchange. The company provides users with BlackBerry
® Enterprise Solutions (BES) connectivity -- for true wireless "push" email. Customers get two-way wireless synchronization of email, calendar, contacts and tasks. Intermedia offers an integrated suite of cloud communications and collaboration services through its Office in the Cloud™ bundles. It combines popular Microsoft services such as Exchange 2010, hosted Lync and SharePoint 2010 with Intermedia's services for backup, mobility, security, voice and more. All Intermedia services are managed from the company's proprietary HostPilot® Control Panel, providing customers a single point of communications control. Intermedia is recognized as providing premium support with an average phone response time of under one minute. The company's Cloud Concierge™ team assures customers have a secure migration to the cloud. Hosted Exchange 2010 service is backed by a 99.999 percent uptime service level agreement and secure infrastructure spanning seven datacenters. Further, Intermedia is one of a select group partnering with Microsoft to bring Office 365 to market.
