Hires Veteran Ken Smith as Executive Vice President, Sales
PORTLAND, Ore., April 23, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Integra Telecom Inc., a provider of fiber-based, business-grade networking, communications and cloud solutions, has hired Ken Smith, to fill the newly created position of executive vice president, sales. Smith’s appointment follows that of Jesse Selnick, named Integra’s CFO, and the promotion of Karen Clauson to SVP, general counsel, corporate secretary in February. Smith will report directly to Kevin O’Hara, CEO. Smith brings to Integra nearly 30 years of sales experience in the telecommunications industry. As the company’s executive vice president, sales, Smith will lead Integra’s sales organization of more than 350 employees. His responsibilities include driving revenue, developing and implementing sales strategies, and evaluating Integra’s solutions to ensure they align with the company’s vision. “The executive vice president, sales position will serve as a critical element to Integra’s management team and sales organization. His career also includes management positions at ICG Communications, Inc., Broadwing Communications, LLC, MCI Worldcom, and AT&T.
