July 5, 2022 - Grupo Aire adds the leader in private cloud services  Stackscale to the list of companies that make up the group. With this acquisition, which already has the approval of the competition authority, the group strengthens, increases and improves its portfolio of public, private and orchestration cloud solutions that it had already been supplying to the market, completing this business division called  Oasix . Three of the founding partners of Stackscale, who in turn are key executives of the private cloud expert company, will maintain a stake and actively collaborate from now on in directing the services offered by the group in this segment. With this new investment, Grupo Aire takes another firm step in line with the internationalization process that began in February 2021 with the purchase of the Portuguese operator Ar Telecom, by incorporating the services that Stackscale provides from two data centers in the Amsterdam area. This presence allows the group to position itself in the FLAP market (composed of the four largest data center markets in Europe: Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris). At the same time, the entry of Stackscale strengthens the group's infrastructure in three of the largest data centers in Madrid. This movement is part of the company acquisition strategy designed by Grupo Aire to strengthen its position in the market, on this occasion, by incorporating a company that has extensive experience in providing private cloud services. The operation meets the company's objective of increasing its offer within the cloud business , obtaining a complete portfolio of services to promote the creation of a federated network of proximity data centers, which generates value together with that provided by the group's clients . This acquisition will allow Grupo Aire to establish synergies to continue innovating and developing technologies in the connectivity and cloud solutions that the company supplies to the market through its Oasix brand , grow inorganically as a group, and reduce the time to market of its solutions. for companies, all with the ultimate goal of accompanying their clients in the transition to the cloud as part of the digital transformation process. The closing of this operation shows the firm intention of Grupo Aire, backed by Magnum Capital, to continue with its inorganic growth , which already started in 2019 with the acquisition of Unelink and Prored, continued in 2020 with the purchase of LCRcom, and continued in 2021 with the purchase of Ar Telecom in Portugal, all of them leading technology companies in their respective segments. With this acquisition, Grupo Aire's consolidated turnover will exceed 140 million euros in 2022, continuing the growth path of 2021. Raúl Aledo, CEO of Grupo Aire, highlights; "We are very happy with this operation because it allows us to improve our portfolio of cloud solutions and -of course- it opens the doors to the FLAP markets and to continue our internationalization process with a firm step". Aledo explains it this way: “thanks to this acquisition we face an exciting challenge with which we intend to generate new synergies and implement technologies in our work teams and in our portfolio of services since we strengthen our hybrid and private cloud offer, which is comparable to have their own data center in a company —with their own dedicated infrastructure and servers—, but where the use of cloud technologies allows services to be dimensioned based on demand”. Finally, the executive points out; As in previous operations of this type, Javier Primo, COO of Stackscale, says; “We are delighted to become part of this great family that we have also known closely for many years, having collaborated on many occasions in the past. Now we look to the present and future with enthusiasm and ready to take on the great challenges imposed by the cloud computing sector. For Stackscale there can be no better ally than belonging to Grupo Aire to promote its development and growth. Among many other synergies, this merger gives us direct access to the group's own data centers that allow us to be much more efficient and competitive, and to an expanding international network that allows us to quickly establish a presence in new markets. It is certainly a big step for Stackscale in the race to become a global cloud service provider”.
