Of the UC Vendor Landscape, Mitel Positioned Furthest to the Right for Completeness of Vision
OTTAWA, May 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel(R) (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a global leader in business communications, today announced that the company has been recognized by Gartner, Inc. as a Leader in the latest Magic Quadrant (MQ) for Unified Communications (UC). The just released report*, focused on the North American midsize market, is the second Gartner Magic Quadrant in recent months where Mitel has been acknowledged as a leader in UC. In August 2014, Mitel was also positioned as a leader in Gartner's global Unified Communications MQ. Mitel is one of only three vendors to be positioned as a leader in both MQs. "Mitel's Unified Communications solutions represent the direct interface and daily brand experience we deliver to our end-user customers," said Rich McBee, President and CEO of Mitel. "We believe to be recognized by Gartner as a Leader twice in 12 months is a strong acknowledgement of our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, and, most importantly, to ultimately enhancing the customer's user experience. I am extremely proud of the team's effort to elevate us to 'Leaders' status." According to the report*, Magic Quadrant vendors like Mitel identified as Leaders in Gartner's Midsize UC MQ "have UC portfolios that are specifically positioned with features and functionality that meet the needs of midsize businesses. The user and management interfaces are integrated and generally intuitive and easy to use. Leaders balance the need for some customization with end users' desire for simplicity in their licensing structures, sales demos and UC solutions portfolio. Vendors in this quadrant have mature channel programs with distinct processes for presales and post-sales support." To see the full report, go to
