Gamma Communications plc (“Gamma”), a leading provider of technology-based communication services across Europe, is pleased to announce the further strengthening of its relationship with Cisco, a global leader in networking, cybersecurity, and collaboration technologies. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Gamma’s mission to become the number one UCaaS provider in Western Europe.
Gamma has now launched Horizon with Webex, a groundbreaking combination of Gamma’s Horizon platform and Webex by Cisco created with small and medium-sized businesses in mind. This allows all users of Gamma’s Horizon product to enhance their communication experience with the innovative features of Webex. This extends the collaboration capabilities of the service, and through the range of services offered, enables small and medium-sized businesses to scale and adapt their communication strategies to meet today’s dynamic needs.
Horizon with Webex is built on Gamma’s network, which is relied upon by millions of users across the UK every day. This dedicated business network has supported essential services for years, ensuring robust, industry-standard encryption and offering 24/7 UK-based support.
Additionally, Webex Calling will be available both through Gamma partners as a wholesale offering and directly to enterprise and public sector customers. This service, named Webex for Gamma is set to deliver enhanced communication capabilities to a wider range of businesses across Europe. All variations of this solution leverage the strengths of both companies, combining Cisco’s leading collaboration technology with Gamma’s deep expertise in voice, connectivity, and managed services.
Recently, Gamma has further strengthened its expertise of Cisco products and implementations through the acquisition of BrightCloud Group and Placetel. BrightCloud Group, a Cisco authorised reseller of Webex Contact Centre services, was acquired in July and will significantly enhance Gamma's managed service, customer engagement and support. This month, Gamma acquired Placetel, a leading Cloud PBX provider in Germany, allowing companies to purchase Cisco Collaboration solutions both digitally and through local partners, and will position Gamma among the top providers in Germany. These acquisitions demonstrate Gamma’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with Cisco and expanding its footprint in key European markets.
"With the introduction of Webex into our portfolio for both partners and customers, we are providing the choice of tooling that's right for their business to thrive in today’s dynamic world," said Andrew Belshaw, CEO at Gamma. "Our recent acquisition of BrightCloud Group and Placetel, further demonstrates our commitment to enhancing our Cisco partnership, strengthening our presence in the UK, Germany and wider Europe, and leading the way in delivering the most choice and the best outcomes for our partners and customers."
DP Venkatesh, Chief Growth Officer at Cisco Collaboration added, "Cisco is deepening our relationship with Gamma, delivering cutting-edge AI-powered Webex collaboration solutions. As AI transforms the business landscape, our innovative Webex platform enables Gamma to provide enhanced employee and customer experiences for businesses of all sizes across Europe."
