July 20, 2021 - Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce the addition of Marcus Reeslund to the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He joins the firm as of counsel to augment the firm’s dozen patent practitioners. Most recently, he was senior patent counsel at Apple. Reeslund will bolster Brownstein’s experienced patent prosecution team, where his work will include overseeing complex patent portfolios, patent prosecution and sophisticated IP asset analysis. With a deep understanding of the consumer electronics and medical device industries, Reeslund helps companies develop a comprehensive patent strategy that complements their business strategy and anticipates future needs. Having worked on some of the world’s most ubiquitous technologies, Reeslund’s Silicon Valley background allows him to help clients advance products and inventions. “I’m so pleased to welcome Marcus to our patent team here at Brownstein,” said Intellectual Property Department Chair Craig Hemenway. “His extensive experience with one of the world’s most technically sophisticated companies makes him a great fit for our client-focused approach to intellectual property.” Reeslund received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University and his law degree from Stanford Law School.
