  1. Adamo presents to the mayor, Pere Virgili, his expansion plan, which includes some 2,000 connected homes before the end of the year
  2. The operator will participate in the fourth edition of the Festa de l'Esport of the Tarragona municipality with an information tent and a dance workshop
Roda de Berà - July 29, 2021 - The optical fiber will reach 4,500 homes in Roda de Berà thanks to  Adamo . From the outset, the company will deploy the fastest Internet connection on the market today (1,000 MB), supplied by the operator, to 2,000 of these homes in the Tarragona municipality before the end of the year. Presentation of the plan at the Town Hall The mayor of Roda de Berà, Pere Virgili, recently received Ivana Arnanz, head of Adamo in Catalonia, who explained the details about the new equipment . The meeting was also attended by Gerard Solé, councilor for Finance Youth, Sports, Children and New Technologies. It should be noted that the mayor is punctually involved in the development of fiber optics for his neighbors, in which Adamo's partner in the area,  the telecommunications company Modi , plays a key role . Participation in the Festa de l'Esport Beyond providing high-speed Internet connection in Roda de Berà, Adamo will take part in the fourth edition of  the Festa de l'Esport together with the residents of the town on July 31. The company will not only install an information tent, but will also facilitate the holding of a dance workshop at an event that will have various free activities provided by the City Council: archery, tennis, paddle tennis, football, table tennis , water polo, aerobics, yoga and chi-kung. Adamo will add 51,000 more homes in Tarragona This deployment in Roda de Berà is part of the development of the operator's own network in the provinces of Tarragona, Girona and Lleida. In this sense, it should be remembered that  more than 114,000 homes in Catalonia will have high-speed Internet installed by Adamo between 2021 and 2022  . In a broken down manner, the company will install its own network in 50,912 homes in Tarragona, 37,043 in Girona and 26,286 in Lleida. Adamo Fiberhood In order to provide high-speed fiber optics to the most remote areas, the company has an innovative tool:  Adamo Fiberhood . It is a system by which, only with the joint request of 30 neighbors through a simple website, it is enough for the company to commit to carrying out a deployment study in their municipality. Thus, Fiberhood is positioned as a key instrument that allows Adamo to reach places that other operators cannot, with each town having its own group. You can find out here about  the fiber in Roda de Berà. It should be noted that current times - marked by the coronavirus - require operators to be able to meet the enormous demand that exists for a quality Internet connection, especially in rural areas. This translates into teleworking with a stable connection, maintaining videoconferences without interruptions, passing medical appointments over the Internet, accessing education remotely or watching series or enjoying online video games, among other options. ABOUT ADAMO Adamo, based in Barcelona, is an operator with a national vocation, but with a regional and local business focus. Present in the Spanish market since 2007, the company gives priority to rural areas and new urban areas with a high population density, providing the fastest optical fiber on the market (1,000 Mbps) . EQT Partners, Adamo's investment fund and majority shareholder, supports its current expansion plan, boosted at the beginning of 2020 with 250 million , the results of which are, for the moment, 10,000 kilometers of its own network and already providing service in 700 municipalities . Likewise, Adamo is the main awardee of the New Generation Broadband Program (PEBA-NGA 2020-2022), funded by the State and the EU, having received80 million in grants to bring high-speed Internet to nearly 500,000 homes located in rural areas of 20 provinces.
