Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Chris Ottele will be joining the firm as a shareholder in the Litigation Department. Based in the firm’s Denver office, Ottele will advise employers on workplace issues and employment law disputes and chair the firm’s employment litigation practice.

Ottele counsels clients on straightforward, practical ways to minimize and manage legal risks and provides day-to-day advice on compliance with ever-changing employment laws and sensitive workplace situations. He frequently conducts workplace investigations about employee misconduct and advocates for clients in claims involving restrictive covenants, wage and hour issues, discrimination, retaliation and other claims of wrongful termination. When litigation ensues, Ottele fights for clients with zeal and determination, ensuring clients make informed choices about risks and rewards at every stage. He regularly defends class and collective actions. He has practiced throughout the country, handling litigation for sophisticated clients in more than two dozen jurisdictions.

Ottele received his bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
