E. Brian Alexander Joins Marashlian & Donahue, PLLC, The CommLaw Group as Of Counsel

We are thrilled to announce that E. Brian Alexander will be joining Marashlian & Donahue, PLLC, The CommLaw Group, as Of Counsel starting on January 6, 2025!

Brian brings a unique combination of engineering and legal expertise, with over 25 years of experience in technology and law. His practice focuses on Artificial Intelligence, privacy, data security, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.

A former project engineer with a B.S.M.E., Brian began his career negotiating contracts and resolving disputes for multimillion-dollar construction and land development projects. Transitioning into law, he has represented technology clients in high-stakes patent disputes, global regulatory compliance, and the development of cutting-edge AI systems. As General Counsel for an AI engineering firm, Brian operationalized AI technical standards, aligning innovative systems with global regulations, including the EU AI Act.

Brian’s credentials include certification as a lead auditor under ISO 42001 and membership in the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Executive Circle. He is licensed to practice in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and federal courts, and is admitted to the U.S.P.T.O. Patent Bar.

Brian’s addition to our enhances the depth and expertise of our Privacy and AI Practice Group, expanding our capacity to assist clients with the complexities of AI governance, privacy and data protection, and compliance with U.S. and international AI and privacy laws, such as U.S. federal and state AI and privacy laws, GDPR and the EU AI Act. His extensive experience in implementing AI and privacy standards positions him as an invaluable asset to both our clients and our team.
