Two Industry Vets Tapped to Lead Cloud Services Broker in Expansion Into Private Sector

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - May 10, 2016) DoubleHorn, a leading cloud services broker, today announced the appointment of two key hires. Senior Vice President Brent Brightwell will oversee R&D, products, strategy, alliances and marketing. Technologist James Yaple joins the operations team as lead cloud solutions architect. Brightwell and Yaple bring more than four decades of combined experience in enterprise and public sector IT development, marketing and sales. "With the addition of Brent and James to our team, we are ideally positioned to extend our deep experience in the public sector into the rapidly expanding enterprise cloud services broker marketplace. Companies are looking for proven experience to help them navigate the challenges of transitioning to cloud solutions," said DoubleHorn CEO Tab Schadt. "James and Brent exemplify the knowledge and leadership that our customers expect and deserve." Brightwell brings nearly 20 years of experience in product management, product marketing and corporate marketing in both large enterprises and start-ups. He was instrumental in developing HP's cloud, big data, service management, security strategies. Brent also headed marketing and product management at BMC, EMC Smarts, ASG, Gravitant, and Marimba. Yaple served more than a decade at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as CTO for the VA's national data center service delivery, and led the VA's first private cloud deployment, as well as directing public cloud initiatives on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure. As more and more vendors are attracted to the financial opportunities of cloud services brokerages, estimated to approach $20B by 2020* demonstrable experience will take on a more vital role. Gartner defines the requirements of a full-service CSB as one offering intermediation (value-added services), aggregation (knitting together existing technologies) and arbitrage (providing solution choices). Customers will be best served by firms like DoubleHorn with a deep understanding of all three. *Markets and Markets Cloud Services Brokerage Global forecast to 2020 report
