Palo Alto – March 10, 2015 – Cooley's privacy and intellectual property litigation practices were recognized as 2015 "Litigation Departments of the Year" by The Recorder. Michael Attanasio, chair of the firm's litigation department, was also singled out as one of two Litigation Department of the Year "Game Changers" for securing the withdrawal of a guilty plea previously entered by a prominent Canadian businessman in a federal money laundering prosecution. The Recorder's awards recognize California litigation practices that delivered "standout results on their clients' most critical matters." After receiving 176 nominations, The Recorder selected just fourteen law firms.
