CCA Statement on Ukraine Communications

CCA encourages our members and all communications providers around the world to accommodate access to communication channels for Ukrainian citizens after the invasion of Ukraine by troops of the Russian Federation. We believe that it is important to keep communication channels open to facilitate conversation in times of conflict. The initiatives that the CCA recommends that our members and all communications providers provide include:
  • Provide free voice services to refugees from Ukraine;
  • Free voice communications in camps for refugees from Ukraine;
  • Free international calls to Ukraine;
  • Activation of a ‘SMS donation’ function to the benefit of organizations supporting refugees;
We know that initiatives provided will vary with each communications provider. CCA applauds any support provided by our members and communications providers around the world to the citizens of the Ukraine. Communications is an essential service, especially when people’s lives are so abruptly “turned upside down.” Thank you.
