Overview Johnston County sits in the eastern half of central North Carolina, U.S.A. The Johnston County School system is made up of 44 schools and a handful of administration buildings. For years, the school system dealt with 50 different phone systems in a multitude of buildings across the county. These legacy Private Branch Exchange (PBX) systems could not communicate with one another and required significant upkeep. A VoIP phone installation was direly needed. Carolina Digital won the bid and the contract for a new 4,500-phone system.
