Brownstein Recognized as a 2021 The Civic 50 Honoree by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light

November 10, 2021 - For the third consecutive year, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 Colorado by CSR Solutions of Colorado and Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The award recognizes the firm as one of the most community-minded companies in Colorado, determined by an independently administered and scored survey. The Civic 50 Colorado initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, talents, skills and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities. Approximately 72% of the firm’s attorneys and policy professionals serve on nonprofit boards and committees. Karma Committees in each of the firm’s offices help plan and lead “done-in-a-day” volunteer projects and drives to support local nonprofits and those in need in our community. Last year, the firm had more than 350 volunteers provide nearly 1,000 hours of volunteer service through “Karma Projects.” These projects included making hundreds of masks, collecting food and school supplies and assembling care packages for new mothers and families facing challenging times due to COVID-19. The firm also had 76% of its attorneys participating in pro bono and achieved a total of 13,770 pro bono hours. Brownstein was officially recognized along with the other The Civic 50 Colorado honorees at the Virtual Honoree Announcement on Nov. 9. The Civic 50 Colorado survey is administered by True Impact, a company specializing in helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value and consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform scoring process.
