Brownstein Attorneys Named in 2025 World Trademark Review’s 1000

Shareholders Peter Ajemian, Matt Francis, Erin Grolle and Airina Rodrigues—all members of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Intellectual Property Department—were named in the 2025 World Trademark Review’s (WTR) 1000 rankings. In addition, Brownstein was recognized as a recommended firm in Colorado and Nevada.

Ajemian focuses on trademark, copyright and entertainment law and is a trusted advisor to his clients in the music, entertainment and gaming industries. His practice concentrates on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights. “Thanks to his dual background as a professional musician and accomplished attorney, Ajemian offers clients an insightful and comprehensive approach to protecting their creative works,” states this year’s WTR commentary.

Francis vigorously protects, enforces and defends valuable intellectual property rights. For over 25 years, he has litigated trademark, unfair competition, false advertising, copyright, trade secret, right of publicity, and patent actions in courts throughout the United States. He is a “fierce protector and defender of clients’ IP rights, emerging as a repository of trust for brand owners,” according to this year’s WTR commentary. Francis also builds and manages domestic and international trademark portfolios for a wide range of clients, including billion-dollar companies.

Grolle specializes in managing large-scale trademark portfolios for gaming, entertainment and hospitality clients. Her comprehensive trademark services include advising clients on trademark selection, clearance, registration, licensing and enforcement. This year’s WTR commentary states, “Grolle is renowned for crafting innovative, cost-effective strategies to boost brand value.”

Rodrigues’s work includes matters involving trademarks and trade dress (including global trademark portfolio management), copyrights, trade secrets, right of publicity, false advertising and complex sponsorship, endorsement and advertising contracts. “Innovative and highly responsive attorney Rodrigues puts the Brownstein team on the map,” notes this year’s WTR commentary.

“Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck stands out as a trusted partner for clients seeking comprehensive brand protection. The innovative team leverage both U.S. and global strategies, staying ahead of the curve on evolving online rights issues,” this year’s WTR 1000 ranking commentary states.

Now in its 15th year, the WTR 1000 identifies the leading professionals and firms that are deemed outstanding at obtaining, protecting, managing, enforcing and monetizing trademarks. It focuses exclusively on trademark practice and is “the definitive ‘go-to’ resource for those seeking world-class legal trademark expertise.
