Brownstein Achieves 2023-2024 Mansfield Certification Plus
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is proud to announce that it has achieved Mansfield Certification Plus for 2023-2024. This is the seventh consecutive year Brownstein has achieved Mansfield Certification, which demonstrates the firm’s commitment to leading the charge for greater diversity and inclusion in the legal industry. Brownstein was further recognized with the “Plus” designation for the fifth year in a row.
Mansfield is a year-long, structured certification process to which Brownstein has committed since 2018 to ensure all firm talent has fair and equal opportunities to advance into leadership. The focus is on opening the door wider and ensuring that opportunities for advancement are
transparent and inclusive for everyone. By asking that at least 30% of Brownstein’s talent pools considered for leadership roles consist of underrepresented groups and that its advancement processes are transparent, Mansfield helps to create a level playing field for all.
“Achieving Mansfield Certification once again reaffirms our ongoing dedication to building a diverse and inclusive workplace,” said Airina Rodrigues, Brownstein’s co-chair of diversity, equity and inclusion. “We believe that fostering an environment where everyone can thrive empowers us to better serve both our clients and the communities we serve.”
To achieve its Plus designation, Brownstein voluntarily provided data to Diversity Lab, an incubator for innovations and solutions for diversity and inclusion in the legal industry, to show the progress and outcomes of the firm’s efforts to broaden talent pools and increase the visibility of its advancement processes. This transparency allows Brownstein and Diversity Lab to celebrate progress and to identify areas with continued opportunities for improvement.
Data shows that firms that remain committed and accountable to the Mansfield Certification process year-over-year are making substantial progress in creating inclusive talent practices and diversifying their leadership ranks.
Brownstein has experienced positive progress since joining Mansfield and remains dedicated to taking measurable actions to ensure that its processes are, and remain, inclusive. The firm has committed to continuing this important work as part of Mansfield’s next certification cohort in 2024-2025.
