Former CIO Travis Sales Will Lead Cloud, Managed Services Provider
Morganville, NJ (November 21, 2013) – Breakthrough Technology Group (BTG), an award-winning Micro Service, cloud and managed services provider, and AT&T’s Top Revenue-Generating Solutions Partner, today announced the appointment of a new company President. Travis Sales has been tapped for the position from his previous role as BTG’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). A virtualization pioneer with more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Sales brings a depth of industry expertise to the role of president. Mr. Sales has spent his career working alongside recognized industry leaders, both as a provider and at the enterprise level. He joined BTG as CIO in August 2012, taking responsibility for all hosting services, solution development, data management, and strategic growth. Prior to that, he served as lead staff engineer at VMware, Inc. “In order for BTG to remain on the cutting-edge, we must rely on the expertise of our team’s leaders who have spent decades on the forefront of new technology development,” said BTG CEO and Founder, Jeff Kaplan. “Travis’s performance in the industry, and with BTG, proves that he has both the vision and the innovative spirit to guide our company’s continued growth. Not only does he understand the business on a technical level, but also from the end-user perspective, which provides tremendous value to BTG’s partners and customers.” Though the role of president will tap into his strategic leadership, Mr. Sales also brings a keen understanding of the tactical decisions and factors that lead businesses to trust BTG as a partner. “Organizations don’t want to be IT shops; they want to consume IT to do their jobs more effectively,” commented Mr. Sales. “BTG’s private cloud, mobility, SAAS, and telecom services save customers from having to manage their technology, and allows them to focus more on growing and operating their business. “BTG’s approach is simple – we focus on our clients’ business and their requirements. We then design, deploy and support technology solutions to not only meet those needs today, but also for the next generation of growth. Our solutions are built with an intense focus on reliability, quality and scalability, so as your business requirements change or grow, we can easily implement new applications within the foundation of services we deliver. “Our vision for BTG is to provide services that cut through the jargon,” Sales continued, “which means making the benefits tangible as a short-term tactic, not just a long-term strategy. My role will involve leveraging BTG’s solutions, like AppsAnyplace®, to define what enterprises are looking for in the cloud – which is: a managed computing experience that enables access to and consumption of technology without the hassle of daily maintenance and support. “At BTG, we act as an extension of your team, allowing us to provide a customized service for your business. We focus on the aspect of ONE – One Helpdesk, One Portal, One Platform – with all of our customers.” BTG recently secured a trademark for its AppsAnyplace® platform, an enterprise cloud solution that allows private, secure access to data across devices. Many of BTG’s solutions – including managed Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Shared Desktops, and Application Packaging as a Service – are offered through AppsAnyplace®. Other services include SaasAnyplace, DataAnyplace, and Private Cloud hosting. More at www.BTGroupinc.comBrowse these posts below for the latest in cloud communications news and insights.
