Appointment CEO and CFO of the Dutch DX Group

May 19, 2020 - Gamma Communications plc (hereinafter Gamma), a leading technology-based communications services provider for the UK, Netherlands and Spain business markets, is pleased to announce new significant appointments and changes within the management team of the Netherlands-based DX Group (including Dean One, Schiphol Connect and Nimsys).

First of all, Gerben Wijbenga will join the DX Group as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking responsibility for their entire business operations in the Netherlands. In this role, Gerben reports directly to Gamma's Chief Executive, Andrew Taylor, and is fully responsible for overall corporate and financial performance. At the same time, he guarantees the development and implementation of an ambitious, growth-oriented long-term strategy for the DX Group in both the Netherlands and Belgium.

Gerben started his career at KPN, where he spent seventeen years working for KPN itself and some of its subsidiaries. During this time, he held multiple executive management positions, targeting both B2B and B2C market segments and product segments. In addition, Gerben worked at Telefonica in Germany as CEO of Affiliated Enterprises and at Tele2 in the Netherlands as General Manager Consumer Market. Gerben's most recent position was CEO at Lebara Germany, an MVNO market leader based in Düsseldorf, Germany. In addition, Willem van Ingen will move from his current position as CEO of Dean One to a new and expanded role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the DX Group, taking responsibility for all financial affairs within the group. These two appointments will take effect on August 1, 2020.
