Aire Networks buys the Portuguese operator AR Telecom and begins its internationalization

February 18, 2021 - Aire Networks has acquired the Portuguese telecommunications operator AR Telecom . With this acquisition, which is already in the last stage for its final approval by the Portuguese competition authority, the Alicante company enters the Portuguese market and begins its internationalization process. With this movement, Aire Networks seeks to improve its position as a leading global operator in the field of communications, technology and services for operators and companies and acquires a company of recognized prestige as a provider of business services, and a long-term  expertise in the provision of solutions data, connectivity, Cloud and data center infrastructure. The acquisition of AR Telecom is part of the strategy designed by Aire Networks to undertake its first steps in the internationalization of the company , reinforcing its business area in the corporate market by incorporating a channel into its distribution network that has a extensive experience in Portugal, which will allow Aire Networks to establish synergies to continue innovating in connectivity, cloud and data center solutions. The closing of this operation shows the firm intention of the group, backed by Magnum Capital, to continue with its inorganic growth, which already started in 2019 with the acquisition of Unelink and Prored, and continued in 2020 with the purchase of LCRcom, all They are operators and leading companies in their respective segments. With this acquisition, the consolidated turnover of the entire Aire group will exceed 110 million euros in 2021, continuing with the growth path of 2020. For Raúl Aledo, CEO of Aire Networks,  “it is the first step towards the internationalization of Aire Networks”. Aledo explains it like this:  “Although 2020 has been a convulsed year due to the pandemic, we have continued on our path of growth. Thanks to the levels achieved, our natural step is the internationalization of our group and with the purchase of AR Telecom we are in a leadership position in a market that we consider essential for Aire Networks' interests ”. And he adds:  " AR Telecom has a broad portfolio of clients to whom it provides unified communications and cloud services, which for us represents a great growth opportunity. In addition, the staff is maintained, so we add talent and experience. We are very satisfied with the purchase of this prestigious company and we are convinced that this acquisition will help us to maintain in 2021 the line of upward growth that we have experienced in 2020 ”.
