With the Best Path to Cloud Communications, Mitel Gives Partners Robust, Customizable Offering for the Enterprise
OTTAWA, Ontario, Sept. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel(R) (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a global leader in business communications, is now offering MiCloud Enterprise service in the U.S. based on the success of early adopters. This provides Mitel channel partners a feature-rich cloud communications offering for mid-sized business to large enterprises, with the ability to customize services.
"A growing number of large companies have transformed their communications with MiCloud Enterprise, moving to our attractive cloud subscription model. The ability to customize features was especially important for this industry and enterprise customers in general," said Jon Brinton, EVP and GM of Cloud Services, Mitel. "We are seeing strong demand in other industries and now offer MiCloud Enterprise for mid-sized to large companies across the U.S."
MiCloud Enterprise is designed for companies that require 250 seats or more to support large environments as well as businesses that need advanced communications services including video conferencing, collaboration and mobility applications for road warriors. Several large customers have already deployed MiCloud Enterprise, such as Famous Enterprises, a large distributor of HVAC, plumbing and building supplies. Supporting 1,000 users across 27 sites, the MiCloud Enterprise solution is allowing Famous Enterprises to keep pace with growth.
"MiCloud Enterprise has given us the flexibility to scale our communications system to support our growth and respond to the dynamic state of supplying services and materials to the industrial and construction industries. It also takes us out of the upgrade cycle and cuts down on maintenance, freeing our staff to concentrate on more strategic activities which help drive the business," said Mike Castillo, director of IT and infrastructure for Famous Enterprises.
Delivering a full set of features beyond MiCloud Business, MiCloud Enterprise enables channel partners to offer services to larger companies or even small to mid-sized companies that need to customize their solutions. In addition to a hosted communications platform, MiCloud Enterprise includes rich collaboration tools including mobility, presence and video conferencing. It can be integrated with other popular cloud services, including Google applications, Microsoft Office365 and salesforce.com.
Mitel is demonstrating MiCloud Enterprise at the Cloud Partners Conference in New Orleans from September 8 to 10. Customers and partners interested in seeing demonstrations should visit Mitel at booth 506.
